Karl Watzlawick-October BHS Student of the Month

Karl Watzlawick was honored on November 2, as Bement High School October Student of the Month.

David Elder, Social Studies teacher commented, “Karl is an outstanding student and has recently passed his board of review allowing him to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.  This is the highest honor that is awarded through the Boy Scouts.  Karl has completed a journey that very few are able to accomplish and BHS should be very proud to have an Eagle Scout as part of its student body.  Karl also assists in raising and lowering the flag daily for the Bement School District.  I am proud of Karl and his accomplishments.  Karl is the son of Jerold and Michelle Watzlawick of Bement.

The Student of the Month Award is co-sponsored by the High School Student Council and the State Bank of Bement.  Its purpose is to recognize a student whose attitude and involvement serve to improve our school.  This award was announced during an assembly where Karl was presented a certificate by Annie Hobson, Student Council Sponsor, and a gift card from the State Bank of Bement presented by Ken Wright.
